Liam Romalis is a founding partner at Riddle Films where he recently produced and directed a three-part series on a Canadian choir called the Nathaniel Dett Chorale. The first part, Carry Me Home: The Story & Music of the Nathaniel Dett Chorale was the recipient of the Canada Award at the 2003 Gemini Awards. The second part, An Indigo Christmas with the Nathaniel Dett Chorale is being distributed by Rhombus International and has recently been sold to 17 PBS markets in the US. The third and final installment, In Performance: The Music of the Nathaniel Dett Chorale aired on VisionTV in December 2003.

Romalis began his career as a production coordinator for maverick filmmaker Ron Mann on such projects as David Halberstam’s The Fifties, Poetry in Motion II and the groundbreaking CD ROM, Emile de Antonio’s Painters Painting. He then spent seven years working at IMAX before forming Riddle Films, a full service production/post-production company that tackles anything from video to 15:70 and everything in between.
